Here's what you will see:
Day One: We will be sure to pick you up from Airport and get checked into our accommodations. After a brief group orientation, we will have lunch downtown. After lunch we will visit Hallgrímskirkja church with it’s unique design. We will stroll through the downtown and visit some of the cities quaint boutique shops. We will then visit the Settlement Museum and learn more about the Icelandic culture and Viking heritage. After viewing the sun voyager sculpture and the concert house we will then have Dinner in downtown Reykjavik. |

Day Two: Today we will visit the South Coast of Iceland with it’s incredible waterfalls. The two largest on the south coast are Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, they will be sure to take your breath away. The green grasses and moss covered lava rock are an incredible backdrop to the cascading waterfalls. We will visit the shoreline city of Vik that offers beautiful views of the South Coast. We will also stroll along the black-sand beach of Reynisfjara and take in the Iceland’s coastline. Dinner will an Icelandic specialty. |
Day Three: Today we head to the Western Peninsula of Snaefellsnes. This National park often referred to as a mini Iceland having such a diverse amount of differing landscapes. Our first stop is the quaint port city of Grundarfjordur, from here we will stop at Kirkufell Mountain. This is quickly becoming one of Iceland's well known sights. We will pass through the small town of Olafsvik and stop and look at the beautiful shoreline. Our next stop is Saxholl Crater. This crater from a once erupted volcano gives you some remarkable views from the surrounding volcanic area. When then continue to the black sand beaches of Djupalonssandur. This unique beach is like nothing you have seen before. Our final stop in the Western Peninsula is at Arnarstapi. The seaside community offers great views and traditional Icelandic food. Dinner will be in the town of Borgarnes. |

Day Four:
Today is spent in one of the an area of such historical significance for the people of Iceland. We will start at Kerid crater and what through this dormant volcano. We will then have the chance to walk between the North American Tectonic and the Eurasia Tectonic plates. We will walk through Thingvellir valley and learn about the Iceland Parliament one of the oldest and longest governmental systems in the world. Along this walk we will see crystal clear waters that run from the glaciers to the lake. We will also see several waterfalls and other historical sights. We will head back into Reykjavik for dinner and give the group a chance to do a bit of souvenir shopping. |
Day Five: Our final full day in Iceland. We will have a little later start due to our late night of stargazing the Northern Lights the night before. Today we will see the power of Icelands water and natural geysers. Our first stop will be the Gullfoss waterfall considered to be the Queen of the waterfalls in Iceland. We have lunch there at the falls and take in the majestic beauty of Gullfoss. Our next stop will be the Great Geysir of Iceland. There are only 1000 natural geysers in the world and this is one that will be sure to take your breath away. The most active geyser on location is Strokkur. No trip to Iceland would be complete without experiencing a thermal bath. We will send the afternoon at Fontana Thermal Spa. This thermal spa is unlike any other there in Iceland. With it's natural thermal baths, saunas, steam rooms, and cold water therapy there on the lakeshore you will definitely enjoy your time. We have dinner there at the spa after our relaxing time in the warm waters of Iceland. |

Today we will transfer to airport together to catch our flights home. We will say our goodbyes and look forward to our next journey together!
