Day 1:
Lei greeting and welcome upon arrival into Honolulu Airport. Check into hotel in Waikiki and have group orientation. 3pm board a one hour glass boat excursion to view the reef right off the beaches of Waikiki. Return to shore and have our first group dinner in Waikiki. Evening time free for shopping in Waikiki and Duke's Market.
Day 2:
After breakfast we are off to explore the beaches of North Shore. We will start the day at a macadamia nut farm and sample delicious freshly roasted nuts. Our first beach will be Shark's Cove. Here we will rent snorkel gear and explore the rocky cove that has abundant sea life. We will have lunch right there at Sharks Cove at the multiple food cart options. After lunch we will head to Waimea Bay beach, our first stop however will be Sunset beach. Here we will witness the big waves famous for the North Shore. Once we arrive into Waimea Bay we will enjoy the amenities of this large beach, from body surfing in the large waves, to sunbathing on the sand beach. Our final adventure for the day will be a hike in the Waimea Valley where we have the option to swim in a beautiful waterfall. Dinner will be in the famous surf village of Haleiwa.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will start our day with a hike up to the lighthouse of Makapuu. This short hike offers spectacular views of the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. After our hike we will make our way to Hanauma Bay. This famous snorkel site offers some of the best views of sea life, reefs, and even a few sea turtles on the island of Oahu. We will spend most of the day here enjoying the water and beach. We will return to the hotel to clean up before having dinner in Waikiki that evening.
Day 4:
After breakfast we head to the North Shore once again. We will make a few stops on this day to visit a few movie sights that have been filmed on the island. We will then check into the Polynesian Cultural Center. This center is such a magical place that offers hands on experiences of what life is like living on the islands of the Pacific Ocean. We will have a huge luau dinner that includes entertainment while we eat. After dinner we will all watch the incredible "Ha Breathe of Life" performance. (Should be a great birthday)
Day 5:
Today we're back on the beach for some fun. After breakfast we will start the day with the Pillbox hike that features 2 military bunkers and a panoramic view of Lanikai beach. After our hike we will enjoy a lunch beachside before more adventure awaits. After lunch it is time for some kayaking. We will kayak out to the famous Chinaman's Hat. This small island offers a mini hike and warm crystal waters surrounding the island. After our kayaking adventure we will return for a well deserved dinner.
Day 6:
After breakfast we will visit the historical Pearl Harbor. Here we will learn about this tragic event that cost the lives of many Americans and thrust us into World War II. After our visit to Pearl Harbor we will visit the Aloha Stadium Flea Market. This market is filled with every sort of Hawaii trinkets and hand made goods you could imagine. We will then spend our final afternoon and evening on the beaches of Waikiki where many options are offered from surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, or just enjoying time on the sand to sunbathe. We will have our final dinner together and enjoy the rest of the evening.
Day 7:
We will check out of the hotel and you will be transfered to the airport for your departing flights. Aloha!
