Tueller Family Tour
Day 1:
Zürich. Airport arrival, check into Hotel Welcome Inn. Full city tour of Zürich including a ferry ride down Limmat River, visit the famous Sprungli chocolate shop, Fraumünster Church with Chagal windows, St.Peter's Church, and Grossmünster Church. Followed by dinner in Niederdorf neighborhood.
Day 2:
Transfer from Zürich to the alps and the village of Wengen. Our bags will be shipped with the rail system so we don't have carry them on the trains.
We will stop in Luzern first and take in this magical city filled with rich Swiss history including chapel bridge and the Lion's monument.
We will then take the famous Golden Pass train over the Brunig pass and make our way to our village hotel in Wengen. We will check in and then enjoy a lovely dinner.
Day 3:
We will take the Ferry from Interlaken to Spiez where we will visit Spiez and Oberhofen Castles. We will then take the afternoon in Boltigen where we can do family history. Delicious dinner back in Wengen.
Day 4:
Today we will spend the day in Lauterbrunnen valley. It will start with a cable car ride up to Grütschalp. We will then take a cogwheel train to Winteregg where will visit a cheese factory. Then continue with the cogwheel train to the village of Mürren. Lunch in Mürren followed by a hike for those who can down to Gimmelwald. For those who can't hike they can take the cable car down to Gimmelwald. We will then take cable car down to Stechelberg followed by village tour of Lauterbrunnen. Dinner will be in Wengen.
Day 5:
We will start our day will a ferry ride on Lake Brienz. After the Ferry ride we will visit the Ballenberg museum where we will learn hands on about Swiss culture.
Day 6:
Today we will visit the city of Bern, the nations capital with a full city tour including visiting the Parliament Building, Chindlifresser fountain, Zytglock Tower, Bern cathedral, and the Bern bears. We will also take the chance to see the Temple which is just a short train ride outside of Bern. Our late afternoon stop will be in the beautiful lakeside city of Thun. Then it's back to Wengen for a delicious dinner.
Day 7:
We transfer from Wengen to Lake Como. After checking into our hotel will have an afternoon tour of Como with a visit the Como Duomo and the rest of the village along with a ride on the funicolare como . Delicious Italian dinner the evening.
Day 8:
This day will be spent on the lake with a ferry ride on Lake Como. With stops in Bellagio and Lecco we will take in so many wonderful sights this day.
We will end the day with another delicious Italian dinner.
Day 9:
Today will be our concluding day. We will make sure that all the arrangements are prepared to get the group to the Milan Airport for their departures.
